This policy outlines the rules for annual leave, day offs, public holidays, and the process for requesting time off at Vault.
01
Annual Leave (Paid Time Off)
- 24 working days per year.
- Accrued proportionally at 2 working days per month.
- Working days do not include weekends or public holidays.
- First leave is available after 6 months of employment. In exceptional cases, earlier leave may be granted with manager approval.
02
Day Offs (Not Included in Annual Leave)
- 10 paid day offs per year.
- Provided due to the absence of a unified national holiday calendar across our international team.
- Used for national, cultural, or religious holidays personal to the employee.
- Not included in the 24 days of annual leave.
- Require approval from your direct manager.
- Do not carry over to the next year and are not compensated monetarily.
03
Public Holidays
National holidays in the employee’s country of residence that do not coincide with the company calendar are taken using annual leave or day offs.
04
Unused Days
- Unused annual leave and day offs expire at the end of the calendar year.
- No monetary compensation is provided for unused days.
05
Upon Termination
If more days have been used than accrued at the time of termination, the difference will be deducted from the final salary payment.
06
Requesting Leave
- Agree on the dates with your direct manager.
- Submit a request through Vacation | Sick Leave Request in the HR Portal.
- Update your Out-of-Office Schedule.
Important: All leave and day offs are granted subject to operational needs. It is recommended to plan your leave in advance (at least 3 months ahead). Failure to submit a timely request does not guarantee that leave will be approved.
Note: If you are employed through a Russian legal entity, leave and days off are governed by the Labor Code of the Russian Federation.
To request leave or sick days, please submit a request via the HR Portal. For any questions regarding calculations or accruals, contact work@vault.ist.
